Prague – Old Town Hall

The Town Hall of the Old Town of Prague was established as the most ancient Prague town hall on the basis of the permission of King John of Luxembourg in 1338. Since 1784, it had served as the sole town hall for four united Prague historical boroughs (Old Town, Lesser Town, Hradčany and New Town – today included in the UNESCO Heritage list). At present, the Town Hall serves for representative and cultural purposes, weddings take place here as well and there is also an information centre for tourists together with the guide dispatching centre here. Last but not least, the tourist guided tours are held here.

Prague – Laterna Magika

Laterna magika introduced itself to the audience for the first time at EXPO 58 in Brussels. Since then it has been active both on its home stage in Prague and on all over the world. The “magic” of the Laterna magika theatre lies in its inseparable connection of film or projected image and live action on the stage, through which the creative process itself originates. www.laterna.cz

Prague – The Municipal House

It is the one of the most significant secession buildings in Prague. It is situated in the centre of Prague near by the Prašná gate. It was built in the years 1905-1912 on the place of the previous Royal court. On its building participated the most significant painters and sculptures Jan Preisler, Mikoláš Aleš, Max Švabinský, Josef Václav Myslbek, Alfons Mucha. The representative rooms are located in the 1st floor. The circular Mayor ´s Hall belongs to the most beautiful interiors. It was painted by Alfons Mucha. There is situated the imposing Smetanova ´s hall (the concert hall with 1200 places, where are placed the unique organ from the year 1912). There take place concerts of classic music, international musical fests Prague ´s spring, etc. In the 2nd floor there are exhibit halls, halls and closets for various meetings, conferences, etc. The house was restored in the years 1994-1997. You find in the object a sweetshop, a coffee-room, a French restaurant, an American bar, etc.

Prague - Křižík´s Fountain

This unique part of Prague´s Exhibition Centre, unparalleled anywhere in Europe, dates back to 1891. It was built on the occasion of that year´s World Exhibition. It is conceived as an amphitheatre with the capacity of 6000 spectators. Since 1995, the rich variety of spectacles to be seen at Křižík´s Fountain has been organised by Agentura Orfeus, which offers the audience annually a broad range of musicals and other music programmes. These performances are the most beautiful water-and-light show to be seen in Prague. For its performances at Křižík´s Fountain, Agentura Orfeus repeatedly won the annual SISYFOS award for the most attractive event of the year from the spectators´point of view. IMAX – cinema

The cinema had the biggest screen in the world 20 x 25 m (in the year 2003). 3D and 2D projection. Cinema City – The Palace Flóra on the Vinohradská ´s street. IMAX ´s technology allows you virtually traveling to places, which you can not image. You can see the world with eyes of old elephant, which lives in Kenya. You can meet white sharks, etc.
